Hello friends,

Like other countries, in early 2010, China's film market is dominated by a big scientific film from Hollywood. In order to watch an iMAX 3D version of "Aventa", some viewers get up at as early as five or six o’clock at dawn, in order to queue up just for a ticket; while in the cinema, the case is that even the midnight show tickets are often sold out! In the process of gradual globalization, Chinese people's way of thinking and aesthetic approach is also gradually integrating with that of the rest of the world, and the audience is demonstrating tremendous enthusiasm towards the films. Apart from the American movies that were successful at the box office such as "2012" and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, the "China Made" films are also receiving more and more recognition by the audience of all ages. Here we present you with five Chinese films that you may not have heard of, but might be surprised to learn that they are listed among the top ten of China's best selling movies in the 2009 domestic movie market.

Enjoy the newsletter and have a great week!
